The Complex
Bellou is a collection of three private villas which are all closely located but each, individually, very private. Together they cover an area of 7,000 square meters built into the hillside of the village of Karoubatika. They are set back 200m from the road, which leads to the some of the most beautiful beaches on Corfu island, this also means that they are very peaceful with a rural setting. These villas have been lovingly designed with family and entertaining in mind, each property has its own private garden with lots of outdoor terrace space, each villa including it’s own private pool. All three villas are very unique and deserve their own descriptions.
Villa Eleni
In case you hadn’t noticed, open plan living is the theme running through all three villas and villa Eleni is probably the example of this. Villa Eleni combines the old traditional Greek style with modern design features, which means that the villa blends in with it’s rural surroundings with out compromising on functional living space, and although Eleni is the smallest of the Bellou Villas it doesn’t feel that way. The feeling of space is a result of the lounge area that, for the most part, is double height and overlooked by a mezzanine reading area, which leads to two upstairs bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
Off the main lounge there is a hallway leading to two double bedrooms and a family bathroom, while the other side opens out into the kitchen. As with all the villas, Eleni doesn’t disappoint with outdoor terraces and again there is outdoor dining space and a ample BBQ area. The pièce de résistance, however, is the huge pool area that is in a raised part of the grounds that see no break in sunlight, from dusk til dawn. There is a paved area that surrounds the pool 360 degrees with sun beds and a very ‘simple’ outdoor shower.
Finally, the villa is 160 square metres in floor space and sleeps up to seven people.
